Newcomer / Intro Pre order ship ?

Hi all

I have the pre order ship and wanted to know is this per save game or just a one time only deal as in if I loose it then start a new save will I have it again ?

I've reset my Save a few times when starting out, (trying to get closer to a friend) and after ever "wipe" I've always had the free eagle waiting for me close by.
