Pre-Ordering Odyssey from Steam

Questions for anyone that currently has an ED copy from Steam, but are using the ED client on its own to run the game (IE you did not link your game to Steam and are able to play without actually running the Steam client).

Are you planning to pre-order or eventually get Odyssey from Steam? Do you think you’ll lose the ability to run the game without launching Steam since you’ll have to link it in order to use Odyssey?

Ha, I was literally thinking this same thing earlier today. I don't know. My original version was a pre-steam version, but I also bought a 2nd account on steam, and can run them both without using steam.

But presumably I can buy the update for my original account from frontier store ... but what about the 2nd steam account? Newer steam accounts wouldnt work using the frontier launcher (I believe) so this will presumably be the same with Odyssey.

I'm lost lol.

I bought from Steam, the steam purchase would go to your linked fdev account and you will be able to launch/play without Steam if you choose.
