Maybe some lore experts can help me here, a purely theoretical question.
Thargoids at the moment appear to be bio-mechanical, in that they have both electronic and organic components to them. The ships are undoubtedly alive, but also have lasers, etc. Thargoids came from Ammonia worlds, which are solid, I believe, not made of gas. (not confidant on that point though so please correct me if I'm wrong).
So my question is, what were Thargoids like when they were just organic, fleshy beings like us, and didn't have the mechanical component? At the moment, with the advent of smart wearables, humanity is potentially on a course to something similar. But prior to that, we're just flesh. Did the Thargoids always take that shape, always fly? Or are there little organic being inside controlling everything, and the ship is just an extension of their body?
I just find the idea of an Ammonia world with loads of organic Thargoids floating around to be a pretty strange and cool concept
