Pregnant animals not sellable anymore?

Since release of the game pregnant could be sold on the franchise market without any problems. However since about 2 weeks I always get the message "An animal bought with cash cant be sold"

At first I thought of it as a bug since neither of these animals were bought with cash, they were all breed by me. I usually sell many animals at once, to change breeding generations at once and such, so I didnt link it with pregnancy.
For the challenge however I wanted to sell a few pregnant Pandas and it failed for all of them with the same message. After some testing now I can 100% say that its now impossible to sell any pregnant feamle of any species.

So now I am not sure if this is intented or really a bug? If its intended there was no news about it, unless I missed it, of course.

It would be a shame if its intended. As someone who sells more animals on the franchise market than I release, then this makes selling even more "harder" (its not really hard, but you know what I mean) and I also liked it to suprise players with pregnant albion Pandas, Elephants and such. Aswell as I liked it to pick up pregnant animals myself.

Instead of making them unable to be sold, I think it would be better to add the pregnancy sign to the sales page, so that buyers could decide if they want such an animal or not. This would be the best option, in my opinion.

But if its really intended to not sell them anymore (which would really be a pity) it would at least be good to give a correct error message and not one thats totally misleading.

Is anyone of you still able to sell pregnant females on the franchise market? And if not, do you get the same message or does the English version (or any other) maybe have a correct one?

So this was in the update notes (under new things) but it surprised me as I've bought pregnant animals before so I suspect it was a loophole they didn't even realise they hadn't closed...

Added status indicator in the Trading UI for animals that cannot be sold because they are pregnant.

Oh, thanks! I guess I missed it, then. Still a shame, but I guess you are right. I would love it if they would change it back, but I guess they wont:( I see no reason why pregnant animals shouldnt be sold, but if Frontier dosent want it,its the way it is now..
Though they should at least correct the error message then. Or is this a language problem and they give the right message in English?

There still seems to be a Bug like that. Some Time ago I've tried multiple Times to sell a male Lion and also got that Message. Luckily it worked when I've tried it on another Day

In english it says can't be sold because pregnant.

Anyway, there is a pretty good real life reason why pregnant animals should not be sold or transfered to other zoos: Stress. Especially sensetive animals could have a miscarriage because of the stress a new envioremnt is. Seeing that Frontier wants to care a lot about animal welfare, I find this feature rather consequent.

Imo, it's a very good thing that a buyer no longer is 'surprised' by a pregnant female, which mostly had comprised inbred/ low quality offspring and at least lead to the issue that you could not breed with your existing animals within a couple of years after buying.

They can't be sold in the other game modes, so they fixed the bug in franchise.
I dont play the other modes really, so I never thought of it as a bug. It was just a normal game feature for me. So having it removed so suddenly is kind of bothering for me, honestly. I wish they would have fixed it much, much earlier and not almost 10 months later. Or just let it stay as it is. (was)

Ah, then they need to fix the message in the German version (and maybe other languages aswell) it would at least have been clear whats the problem and not look like a bug in the first place.😅

The first elephants born in the Cologne Zoo was from mothers who came there already pregnant, so it does happen. However, regarding the game I still have the opinion that not everything needs to be 100% realistic and this wouldnt do any harm. There are no miscarriages in the game (except for a pregnant female dying) and new animals are not stressed out ( if the habitat is fine, of course).

So yeah, it mostly bothers me because it was possible for so long and then after such a long time it suddenly wasnt. And actually I am at least 90% sure it started to happen the week before the big update. (and as I already said for me being able to sell them never seemed like a bug, but not being able to + the wrong messaged seemd like one)

And yes, I now have to get used to it😅
But dont get me wrong, I still love the game, even though for me this seems like a bad change.

Haha, well thats a way to judge😉
But that is the reason why, if I could decide, instead of make it unable to sell pregnant females, I would prefer it if they added the pregnancy sign to the sales page. So every player could decide for themselves if they want to buy it or not.
I honestly always liked it because it showed some history of the animal, that its really some kind of an individual that really "lived" in the zoo of a real human. I probaly cant explain that properly. But as I already said, if I picked up a pregnant female (which was sadly rather rare) I always found it a nice suprise, no matter if the offspring was bad or good. And even "bad" offspring can actually be good for breeding.
And also especially in the case of Elephants (if people want to agrue with real life reasons) dosent separte calf from the mother. So selling pregnant elephants seems kind to me.
And the all pregnant animals I named "Name" + unborn baby were sold very quickly always🙂

But anyways, now after learning that it was never possible in the other modes and it seems like I am the only one who would like to have it made possible again, I see no hope Frontier changes it back again:cry:
Just Frontier, please fix the German message;)

Though if they needed so long to fix this, maybe there is still hope that franchise mode trade center also will get multi select/move of habitat animals in the near future (a change that would be very useful)
