So, we know the game will have a variety of marine reptiles. But what about prehistoric fish like Megalodon, Leedsichys, Dunkleosteus, etc?
While it does seem a solid assumption for launch, I'm not sure that it's a good assumption for the overall life of the game. With Dominion we know we're likely to get Lystrosaurus and that already bleeds into the Late Permian a bit. Dimetrodon is also a pretty popular suggestion, even without being in FK as a stuffed animal.Assuming they stick to the Mesozoic again, megalodon and dunkleosteus aren't happening... getting that out of the way, most prehistoric fish weren't that big, although some like Cretoxyrhina or Protosphyraena might work.
Even after launch I highly doubt we'll get anything that's not a reptile. Jurassic Park/World has always resolved around dinosaurs, things like pterosaurs, marine reptiles, and dimetrodon only get a pass due to people constantly mistaking them for dinosaurs, stuff like a woolly mammoth or megalodon is far too unfitting. It's also not even necessary since dinosaurs alone already offer enough diversity for dlc options.Based on terminologies being thrown around, it's doubtful there'll be anything outside of reptiles at launch, but futher down the line you never know.

Well, that's the thing, to the common people extinct means dinosaur, it doesn't really matter what it is. Even things like Anomalocaris are thought of as dinosaurs by people.Even after launch I highly doubt we'll get anything that's not a reptile.
