Prehistoric fish?

Assuming they stick to the Mesozoic again, megalodon and dunkleosteus aren't happening... getting that out of the way, most prehistoric fish weren't that big, although some like Cretoxyrhina or Protosphyraena might work.

There's zero indication that we'll get any marine animals besides reptiles especially since they consistently refer to the aquatic animals as just aquatic reptiles. Of the three you mentioned the only one with any reasonable chance is Leedsichthys since it actually comes from the mesozoic.

Based on terminologies being thrown around, it's doubtful there'll be anything outside of reptiles at launch, but futher down the line you never know.

While it does seem a solid assumption for launch, I'm not sure that it's a good assumption for the overall life of the game. With Dominion we know we're likely to get Lystrosaurus and that already bleeds into the Late Permian a bit. Dimetrodon is also a pretty popular suggestion, even without being in FK as a stuffed animal.

As to size, yeah, probably has to be a little bit bigger than land stuff for logistical reasons.

The Triassic in particular doesn't have particularly large fish, Birgeria americana from Nevada (Thaynes group) seems largest at about 1.8m long, other than that there's Saurichthys, with Turkish (Tarasci Limestone) specimens getting to 1.5m long, Rebellatrix from Wapiti Lake in British Columbia being about 1.3m long, and Bobasatrania, with Wapiti Lake (Sulphur Mountain Fm.) specimens being up to 1m long.

Even after launch I highly doubt we'll get anything that's not a reptile. Jurassic Park/World has always resolved around dinosaurs, things like pterosaurs, marine reptiles, and dimetrodon only get a pass due to people constantly mistaking them for dinosaurs, stuff like a woolly mammoth or megalodon is far too unfitting. It's also not even necessary since dinosaurs alone already offer enough diversity for dlc options.

Well, that's the thing, to the common people extinct means dinosaur, it doesn't really matter what it is. Even things like Anomalocaris are thought of as dinosaurs by people.

If they stuck with reptiles arbitrarily, that takes a fair bit of diversity out of the equation. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but I could see 2 years of DLC being a bit of a struggle, both to make, and to sell to a casual audience.

Would be nice but i think they are only going to add new aquaric reptiles in the future snd no other prehistoric sea monsters. But still hoping for Dunkleisteus, Megalodon and Livyatan

I think Mawsonia the giant coelacanth would be a nice addition.

I think it would be fine to add other types of animals to the game. But I do think they should probably stick to the Mesozoic.

I could say if they are planning to add some Mesozoic fish for example, like Xiphactinus, Cretoxyrhina, and Leedsichthys. But I don't know if they plan on introducing the gamers to creatures from before and after the age of dinosaurs. They mostly focus a lot on dinosaurs, marine reptiles, and pterosaurs but I would say they will add some fish from the age of dinosaurs. But this is Frontier and they can do what they want. But I would love to see Xiphactinus, Cretoxyrhina, and Leedischthys into the game since they're Mesozoic animals. Yes, Camp Createcous Season did make a cameo appearance of Smilodon aka Saber-tooth cat but I don't think they're planning to do that.

fishes its give manys thats typical for the Jurassic Period for example (and the most from 10cm to 30cm)
Darpedium, Metamesodum,Eomesodum (coral reef Fishes)
Hexodus (steerhead Shark) 1,5m
Leptolepis up to 1m

Cretazeous Fishes like Echodus for example

and belemnites and Ammomnites in amny sizes and Species
Small Seacrocodiles like geosaurus or Metriochhynchus or largers like Plesiosuchus
