PreLaunch Review

After watching Bestinslot & GamingBeaver’s play though of both the challenge mode & the campaign mission I am excited to being able to play the game. I look forward to playing sandbox the most but just like the first game items have to be unlocked outside of sandbox first to use them, not a fan but is what it is.
The new fighting animations between the carnos, using their horns like bulls was pretty cool as well as the goat eating animations.

I like the idea of investigating events to get to the allosaurus is the campaign & thought the wild dinos in the area was a nice touch, would be cool to still have wild dinos on the map in sandbox mode but that seems pretty unlikely since the ones in the first game were removed in sandbox. I wonder how the scientist management comes into place in sandbox, if it is even there at all.

As for the challenge mode I like the new path tools, the building customizations, the realistic contracts you can choose from that don’t influence particular branches like the first game, & the ranger station being a true ACU (Jeep & Helo in one). I like fact that each Dino, except Mosey so far, has different dinos they prefer to cohabitate with & those they don’t (seems pretty realistic) & it helps strategize which dinos go into what enclosures. I’m hoping the Aviary allows for the same but I don’t care to see flying reptile fights.

Unless I’m mistaken it does not look like you can create marine fences to separate the lagoon into different sections which is a shame because I would like to save money by depositing the marine reptiles in to a main tank then open fences for them to move into permanent enclosures, but I guess that’s when the release by airlift comes into play.

Will be interesting getting used to managing scientists but by far I’m looking forward to the game’s release, spending the majority of the time in sandbox & making a true site B in sandbox.
Too many new dinos is not a thing, keep them coming! Although I don’t care for the hybrids which will be in the game, thanks to the nasuto spoiling it in the play through (it doesn’t like them).
Hopefully the map will be big enough to accommodate every Dino with multiple lagoons & aviaries!

Well done frontier!

Thanks Drew! I really appreciate reading that :)
Hey Jens could you please take a little look at the next gen vs pc post in this forum as I really want to pre-order the game on PS5 right now but not sure at the moment if it's not going to be up to par with PC, obviously it doesn't have to be super great but there is a notable difference which has been so far on demo versions of the game
