Just wondering if anyone else is giving thought to where they want to be (system/station) when 2.4 drops? In one of the core systems? A particular "front" or perhaps some out of the way system? Are you moving assets or just locating your daily driver there if doing anything at all? Personally I have moved my daily driver to a system that I think will end up being significant and yet out of the main way.
The only thing I can think of is to try to get everything you're doing now done when 2.4 hits. Just in case those space flowers starts getting salty.

Get all your engineers unlocked and engineering done just incase they decide to change the system again you know how much players enjoy playing with moving goal posts

Also I'd not get too excited, given there's going to be both a closed and open beta I anticipate 3-4 weeks of beta before it goes live.
Whilst they've said they are going to leave out the alien content to avoid spoilers I think there will be a few clues that will maybe point people in the right direction. Wait until Beta for the news to break. If no news breaks I'd say Maia is a nice hub to work from tbh as it has the planetary base and station and Palins base which means hopefully enough places to outfit for alien defence/attack.
Unlikely Engineers is changing in 2.4 tbh. It could happen but I think we would have heard something by now. I expect that to change in the updates after 2.4 when they do all the QOL and revamping of things.

Merope. Since last week, even Sirius has two new bases there now (Reed's Rest, Omega Prospect, both without shipyards, though), among the Superpowers that have been battling over Maia for months. This is where it will all start, no doubts. Got a small fleet including my flagship Vette there in preparation and some more ships in close vicinity in case Merope gets overrun. But as always, beta comes before that.
