Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting the Battle Beluga. Turrets and armour and SLF. Its simple to fly and fun. Little skill required except knowing when to stand and when to run.

I've taken on Elite Anacondas in a Haz RES with this thing, although usually have to resort to ramming to get it down quick enough, but it makes a good rammer.

You've been talking about this for a while.
Normally I am a "right ship for the right job" kind of Cmdr but I am glad to see it's working out for you!
And who doesn't like a good ramming once in a while eh?

Yup, it took a lot of engineering to get so much done and still one or two components that haven't had increased health, the main one being life support, and i suppose i could do the PTDs as well. Turrets are all sturdy mount rank 5, so they get extra AP which is nice.

I have given it a run now in CZ, Haz Res, and Comp nav beacons. CZs are the tricky ones, if the tide of battle turns there is no fighting off so many opponents at once. Have to stick with allies to stay alive long term although 1 on 1 i'll take anything on. The SLF is great, again, as long as not outnumbered, the SLF dies if that happens usually. Got my pilot up to Master, working on getting her to Dangerous.

Indeed, and to be honest, having more fun with this than i had with my Gunship or FdL. Not sure why, after all, those ships kill things quicker and easier and also require more skill. I think i'm just for a change enjoying the feeling of flying a command ship. With multicrew and the ability to have 2 SLFs out, this might actually be a very fun build indeed.

This gives me inspiration. I almost had no more goals in Elite, but now I can only imagine all the lovely ships and builds out there just waiting to be flown. :3

Actually it got me thinking (no jokes )
Officially the Beluga should be the Buluga... :D Ya know just how it is going 120 inside the station completely indifferent to us other Cmdr's in small 'Condas and Corvettes...
Beluga makes me hungry btw, I rather like good caviar...
