Presenting the Battle Beluga

Packhounds are too cheezy and besides, need to do reasonable shield damage, can't rely soley on the fighter.

But they look awesome, and surely that's the most important factor when fighting in a Beluga!

And increased ammo capacity+ overload munitions will obliterate NPC shields with ease, add some drag munitions in there to keep your opponent nice and sluggish (PvP is a different story though, you'll die, well i did anyways)

From what i saw, overload munititions still doesn't work very well.

Yep, the Battluga is a fierce beast indeed.

Likewise, the Orca is one to surprise as well.

Neither should ever be underestimated.

They're kind of like getting your ___ kicked by someone in a tuxedo or evening gown.

The 3 bottom hardpoints seem to have fairly good convergence for a trio of medium rail guns.

I messed around with a Battle Beluga a little but stripped and sold it. It just didn't pack enough punch even with triple railguns. Its yaw rate is insane for a 1100 ton behemoth ship. Had no problems lining up shots in the big whale.

Make a note of your existing speed/boost speed/fsd range and then compare it with the 2.3 version.

I am doing the same ... just to see what kind of improvement I get (hope I am not disappointed !).

With my ordinary cargo/passenger cabins loadout and SLF, I see that the FSD range is only changed by decimal places when fully laden compared with laden. Is that the same with your version ?

With my Passenger/Cargo Beluga, yeah, the change in weight doesn't affect it much. With the Battle Beluga though its already overloaded and the B rated FSD which has a negative optimal mass is fairly sensitive to weight changes, which is why its jump range is 9LY.

Always been wanting to do a combat beluga because it seems fun, had to settle for a pirate/combat T9 which is surprisingly good.
