Preset power pip management

At least three since you have the reset power one. I'd like to be able to quickly switch to an offensive, defensive, or movement based paradigm.

Being able to set some power presets like we could in the X-Wing games would be a pretty awesome QoL upgrade. When I'm flying my Vulture, for instance, I tend to default to a couple specific settings depending on the situation and it'd be nice to not have to resort to out of game macros.

Agreed; It seems practice and in-line with the reset function. In the ship I'm flying now, I like it 3 to Systems, 2 to Engines and 1 to weapons. It's a bit of fidgeting about (four or five button presses?) in combat when one accidental downward arrow(hat switch) sets them all back.

People use presets? I just usually go full pips on the fly. Sometimes, depending on the scenario, I'll keep a little more in SYS to charge shields mid RES run, but that's about it.

No, mate, thats the point - its a request for a preset(s) option. That's how I read the OP

Fine idea, but I don't think it'll get past the esports mentality behind only allowing two fire buttons, after years of requests for more. Efficiency is only beneficial when it aids arcade elements, not sim elements.

I mean you could do it with keyboard macros i guess. Just pressing in the sequence you want, but it's silly that this isn't in the game yet. I shuffle between a few different combinations.

Is not free?
Is difficult to configure and set up?
Is a third party extension?

Seriously, what are you getting at here? It's a thing, but a poor suggestion if you're trying to point it out as an alternative.

1. Its that cheap its almost free
2. if i can set it up, anyone can so its not difficult at all
3. yes its a third party extension but it runs superbly.
