Preview option rather than compulsory purchase.

It would be nice to have an ingame utility that allowed preview purchases of spaceships and outfitting.
The compulsory purchase can be rather expensive if you want to default back to the original build because you didn't leave yourself enough operating capital.
.
Just going from my T-6 to Asp and back seemed to cost me about 750k.
A wasted evening of play :(
.
At the very least a more prominent warning that trading in the hull of the old ship is at a 10% loss would be nice.

I've traded up and down a few times, and each time, I've always sold or downgraded the modules first, which seems to get back the full purchase price for the modules, and the 10% hull penalty doesn't hurt so much.

It makes the ship pruchases and outfitting statistics look enormous, but they're just numbers :)

It's not really the cost I'm annoyed about.
It stung at the time, but it's easy enough to get back (the ease of that is another discussion altogether).
.
The suggestion was to change the shipyard/ outfitting from:
.
Compulsory purchase (requires you to break out the pencil and paper to keep track of prices or have access to 3rd party ship design app).
.
To
.
Preview mode (allows you to try out any ship and module combination available at that station before accepting the cost).

yea it came to mind the other day to me,that why the hell cant i play every single ship with ever single module in the game versus any other ai ship in the training?
wouldnt affect anything ingame just a little heads up.
for example i would have known that my vulture can only carry 2x pulse lasers anything else and the dpm just goes down too much because of a cool down.
