How do I find previous subject posts without trawling through thousans of them?

When displaying a forum there is a 'search forum' option top right. Use that to find posts and threads that mention your key words.

If you open a thread the option changes to 'search thread', which does the same thing, but restricts it to just the thread that you are viewing.

Just enter "site:forums.frontier.co.uk" followed by your keywords in google, it's more efficient than the forum search function.

Or if you mean your own posts, you can go into your profile and it can show you your latest started posts and your latest comments.
