Price rigging at some stations?

Trading woes...
.
I am currently trading by hopping between two stations and I notice that one of the stations will adjust the price of a commodity by as much as 500 Cr completely wiping out any profit to be made. So basically between the time I was last at the station (and noted down the price) and the time it takes to return to that station with the goods, the commodity price has plummeted.
.
Is this price rigging in action? Surely the price of a commodity can't (or shouldn't) change in the ten minutes it takes me to return. As a result it is proving difficult to earn a profit from this leg of my journey and the commodity prices just can't be trusted.
.
Am I alone is noticing this unfair trading practice or have I maybe encountered a bug?

It could be possible that you're buying from a very low population station, and that their supply and demands of products are quite low as a result meaning that those demands are being met by a very low amount of trade causing the prices to change.

Yep sounds about right, thanks for your input.

As above. It's unlikely that anyone is price fixing for a 500Cr/T profit route. Possibly for a 3,500Cr/T one but not for such small amounts unless that travel time is less than 90 seconds between stations.

Check the populations, traffic reports and numbers of goods as well as.
If the population is low in the system then a high supply of fish may be 20,000T. If a few players and NPC's visit in quick succession that 20,000T may drop to 15,000T putting it in medium supply.
Compared with a high pop system a high supply would be much higher like 200,000T therefore much more trading needed to change it.

Edit: Ninja'd by the OP. :D

Yep my fault, misunderstood what was going on. Need to pay closer attention to the size of a high demand commodity.
