Prices are moving !!!

Looks like the server bobs have been tweaking.

Market prices are responding to trade volumes, at least in my neck of the woods.

Anybody else seeing marginal price shifts ???

I tested this yesterday. I thought goods sold into a station would affect the inventory available. It does not. I think it's just random man?

Yes, for at least a week now... You're kinda late to notice that... ;-)

They have been static where i have been trading for at least a week now at stations with over 1200 visitors in the last 24 hours.

Ive probably done nearly 70 million quid on the same trade route for the past week.

Only this evening have prices changed.

Still static for me. Wonder if it's currently bugged/broken.

You're selling into a market that someone in the station is part of. The goods you sell don't become part of the stations inventory, however the volume being traded affects the price to sell or buy.

But pricing is adjusted by their inventory, correct?

Supply and demand. Yesterday I made several runs to the same station delivering indinite the buy price didn't change I delivered about 200 units. Their supply level stayed at 0 I'm just confused about how it all works.

In busy systems with lots of players the stations slowly sell their stock and production is lower than trade, so the High Demands turn into medium, same with offers. I've noticed this in a couple of systems.

I am making just over 1500cr/tonne on a short 13.3Ly run which has been near static price for a week due to a massive demand at one place and a massive supply at the other.

If you leave a system, then return later in the same game session, is one guaranteed to be in the same instance? Put another way, is the instance you're in Galaxy wide?
If not, then the prices in the stations are not going to reflect goods delivered/supplied.

The other week they were moving so fast trading wasn't even worth it. I'd lose 200-400 per unit after a single run. From 1200 profit down to 700 in well less than an hour.

if the market is faltlined, grab some missions that export and import items u will help the faction giving those missions to. Contritbuting to the background simulation

Yep, noticed (lots of players had passed through the system) - market for the good items there literally collapsed (from 1.2k/ton down to 109/ton).

Exactly. Whilst my market is still strong and has only shifted by a trivial amount it has no less moved for the first time since they turned off the borked AI trading.

If a system has a demand for a product then they probably aren't going to sell it once they finally get some.
