Primary and secondary HUD Switch Option

Primary and secondary HUD Switch Option

With the new mining tools and having to manage several new firegroup setups, how about an option swap the positions of the primary and secondary HUD elements.

Because I use keyboard and mouse, I would find it more intuitive if the primary was on the left (left click) and the secondary was on the right (right click) as opposed to the opposite way round as it is now.

Check out this expertly made mock up below:

Can you key map your left click to secondary and your right click to primary? Then the weapons will be on the corresponding sides.

Yes I did try that in AutoHotkey with - Rbutton:: LButton and LButton:: RButton - but it seems that Elite doesn't want to know, it keeps trying to use both at the same time and won't hold down for scans etc. Whether this is something to do with Elite or a limitation of AutoHotkey I don't know.

It wouldn't be very hard to implement this, but if I'm the only one asking I can't really expect it to happen.

can't you assign primary and secondary fire button in Elite keybind configuration?

ie setting right mouse button to primary fire and left mouse button for secondary fire.

It had been so long since I looked at those keymaps I forgot you could even do that and I only realised what Goooost actually meant a minute or so after I posted my response. I couldn't post back straight away because I had to wait for moderator approval but yes that way works fine and is very handy for mining where you need so many fire groups.

It would be nice to have the option to switch them properly though, obviously it's the correct way round only if you're a HOTAS user.
