Primary port was in second slot from a planet, am I screwed?

Howdy folks,

I colonised a system the other day and the primary port was in slot two above a planet, not slot one. My understanding is that this means it will remain completely unaffected by anything I build on the planet, because reasons. Is this actually the case though?

Thanks for your thoughts folks!

I can't tell you if this specific bug remains, but my situation is at least similar.

Primary port in slot 0, healthy market, later added coriolis in slot '0' (effectively slot 1 prior to the primary port) and it has a broken market.

I think these bugs are probably related, so if mine hasn't been fixed then quite probably the slot 1 bug isn't fixed either?

Afaik, current assumption is that you should not build any port in any slot at any planet where a primary port already exists in any other slot,
because primary ports are more likely to get influence, no matter in which slot they reside, they override the slot 0 rule,
and any additional ports next to the primary ports are quite likely to not get influence, no matter in which slot they reside.

Therefore, your primary port is approximately as likely to get influence as anything these days.
And generally, there's always the hope (or the fear) that things may change for the better (or worse).

And, generally, if you want to do anything right now, your fate is to
colonize dangerously amidst the dangers of eternal biowaste DOOM and the hazards of unexpected rule changes.

It should work, but there are issues with economy connection atm.
every settlement and orbital build should be connected regardless of slot position, but it is and isnt atm due to bugs or server issues.

Every build on same landable planet is supposet to merge economy.

You should be fine. I just finished building an orbis primary port over a water world that started out as a colony economy. There were two other slots around the planet, so I put down a space farm and science orbital outpost.

Now my orbis is classed as an agricultural station selling thousands of tons of fruit & vegetables, water, grain, etc. And doesn’t sell biowaste since the space farm consumes that.

All of that and it’s still under deployment until this Thursday (4/24).
