Not exactly sure what you're asking...
you can have fixed and gimballed both on your ship, but there are no weapons that cycle between the two.
But like arrichon said, gimbal shoot straight when they aren't locked

I have one gimballed and one fixed in my Cobra, set up in a fire group as primary/secondary and using one/other/both as appropriate. Quite a good combination IMO, gives a lot of flexibility and the hit to firepower isn't that great considering the constraint is often energy/heat rather than the weapons themselves.
