o7 CMDR's and welcome to my first ever coordinated expedition. Having finally - after four years - earned the requisite credits, I am embarking on what has been my dream since carriers were announced. I will be jumping my carrier to a far flung, largely unexplored sector of the Outer Orion Arm and spending a few weeks mapping, walking about, and generally having a blast with the new Odyssey mechanics. This will be a relatively short expedition in terms of distance flown, being under 20k light years and there will be planned stops along the way. If you are new to exploring, you are more than welcome. If you are an old hat, feel free to tag along as well. Heck, if you're a new CMDR and want an easy way to get 5,000ly's from Sol to unlock Palin and Farseer, hop on board!

In the coming days, I will be listing the expedition on EDSM and posting a more detailed flight plan, as well. My Carrier, Perambulieren Fernweh K1X-GVG, will be equipped with Universal Cartographics, Repair, Refuel, and Rearmament services. Whether you'd like to mine far below the plane or just potter about on foot and look up at the belly of the Galaxy, there will be something for you. The expedition will be leaving the Bubble early September.

The Perambulieren Fernweh K1X-GVG will be stationed in the Bellite system starting on 22 May. The Carrier will be in orbit around A4. This is from where the expedition will begin on 29 May. All stopovers are not currently listed with EDSM and several are reachable only by carrier. So while they may not be truly undiscovered, there's a chance...but either way, we'll be filling in some holes for the team over there. Itinerary is as follows:

Destination The First, arriving 31 May:
FLYEIA DRYOAE KT-Z D13-3
On station time: 1 day

Destination The Second, arriving 3 Jun:
PRAE DRYOU AF-R D4-0
On station time: 2 days

Destination The Third, arriving 6 Jun:
DROKOE QY-A EO
On station time: 2 days

Destination The Fourth, arriving 12 Jun:
BYOO THAA XW-E C11-0
On station time: 1 days

Destination Final, arriving 15 June:
ENGORTH YT-Q D5-0
On station time: TBD

Once we arrive on station at each destination, feel free to explore in the vicinity. Check the announcements channel in the discord to make sure you are parked up and ready to head out.

Perambulieren Fernweh K1X-GVG has been fueled with Tritium for the journey. Hopefully FDev get the Carrier situation sorted before the weekend. If not and you wish to board early, carrier is in Zaonce system.

I was more looking to take folks that were already bubble bound. For the folks outside the bubble that would be interested in going, they could meet us out in the black. As to getting on foot equipment, it took me less than 5 minutes to buy everything and I have no plans to engineer anything before heading out. Stock suits will do just fine, I think. Honestly, I'm debating whether or not I'll engage with on foot engineering at all.

Having said all that, if there is a desire to push the date back, I'm happy to do that.

Having said THAT, I might have to push the date back anyways given that Carriers are currently moored and unable to jump.

Fleet Carriers are now operational. Perambulieren Fernweh K1X-GVG will be in the Bellite system (Planet 4A) from tonight until launch on the 29th.

New players welcome...easy unlocks for Palin and Farseer.

Currently myself and one other CMDR in the Discord. If we go alone, I reckon we go alone. Anyone interested at all, or has the recent unpleasantness put people off?

Best of luck with it. I'm already away on my own little expedition exploring around the edge of the bubble. The new mechanics in Odyssey are indeed a blast to play with.

I like your idea, but as there is no Odyssey at all for PS4 yet unfortunately it does not make much sense for me to join. It would be like a journey as hidden stowaway.

Thanks for the offer. I will let my rather fresh alt commander join than. She was not outside the bubble yet and can use engineer unlocks and hopefully some first discoveries.
I could not join on Discord, though. Seems the link is outdated now.
I see we what engineering can still be done to the brand new exploration ship and sneak onboard later today (or tonight).

I'm turning around. I'm pretty sure I'm alone and I've got far too many services enable to justify what unfortunately has become a solo expedition. If you are aboard the carrier, consider yourselves warned. No worries, I'll carry on myself. A successful 6,000ly round trip has been thoroughly enjoyable!

Thanks for the ride so far. It was fun to see a carrier jump while docked for the first time. I hopped from board now.
It sure is unfortunate that there was not much interests in the expedition and I could not really add anything myself for what the expedition was meant to.

Probably heading out this weekend, what with the copy/pasta CG and whatnot. All aboard who's coming aboard....which I'm fairly confident is just me.
