Priorities getting jumbled and modules turning themselves on

I am just curious if anyone else has experienced these issues. So I have been doing almost exclusive PvP over the last month and have ran across some strange things and wondering if it is a known bug or if it is something I am doing wrong.

1. Modules being turned on that were previously set to off.

I always have my Cargo Hatch turned off. Mainly because it is a useless item in a combat ship and because I need the power it consumes to power other systems. I have found that it will randomly turn itself back on (usually after logging off for the night and coming back the next day).

2. Priorities getting jumbled and changed

So here is my standard priority setup:

Thrusters 1
Life support 1
FSD 1
Weapons 1
Power Distributor 1
Sensors 1
Shield Generator 1
FSD Interdictor 5
Fuel Scoop 5
SCB 6B (x2) 4
SCB 5b (x2) 3
SCB 3A (x2) 2

Now remember. Once I have these set I NEVER mess with them but occasionally my 6b's will be set to priority 5, 5B's priority 4 and 3A's priority 3...which effectively destroys my setup and don't notice I am going to loose my shields until it is too late (i know it is my fault as I should be checking these pre battle. I am trying to get in the habit of doing so) and half the time don't have time to fix the priorities in the middle of the battle to make everything work again. I have even had an occasion that my shield generator got set to 5 and when my hardpoints deployed my shields went down...now that one sucked..lol. (Easy kill for the other guy though :) ). This too seems to mainly be a problem after logging back in to start a new day of play.

So like I said. Anyone else run into this? If so have you found a way to prevent it? I am thinking of submitting a bug report but I want the communities input first. I also plan on trying to get some sort of video evidence.

Thanks.

I'm not sure why you have different tiers of priority for each cell bank? Unless you are powering multiple cell banks at once there's not really a reason to do this.

Weapons deployed is one of the biggest consumers of power and you can't use the FSD when they are deployed anyway so the FSD should be priority 2-3. You don't list your utility or ship type so that doesn't help much. Assuming you are using one SCB at a time and manually deactivating the empty for a new one in the Modules screen you won't need priority depth like that.

Thrusters 1
Life support 1
FSD 3 (will only charge with weapons retracted)
Weapons 1
Power Distributor 1
Sensors 1
Shield Generator 1
FSD Interdictor 3 (will only be used with weapons retracted during SC)
Fuel Scoop 3 (toggled off unless you are ready to scoop)
SCB 6B (x2) 1(toggled on)
SCB 5b (x2) 2 (toggled off)
SCB 3A (x2) 2 (toggled off)

I assume you are setting it up so that when weapons are retracted you have multiple SCBs active, whereas when you have weapons deployed you have only one or two SCBs active? Is that where the additionally priority is needed? It looks like you are using an ASP btw.

In all seriousness, I've never come across this so I'm not sure I can be of help - it might be useful if you make a log of precisely when the changes occur over a couple of days, what specifically you were doing at the time of the changes (or at least, what you were doing just before) and whether this happens on one ship or multiple ships. It might help narrow down and self-diagnose what's occuring.

The way i have it saves me time during the battle.

If you have options that are not saving between logins, you can try the following

Navigate to:

C:\Users\COMPUTER USER NAME\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Player

And delete the files in that folder. To get into Appdata you need to have "show hidden files and folders" activated

The current elite updater has not been replacing those files, and they deal with the persistent settings between logins. This will not delete your graphical or key bind settings.

What I would recommend is to create a folder on your desktop and move them into there, so you have a backup if you are worried about them
