Prismatic shields unlock ? Week 3 or week 4 I achieve 750 merits ?

Greetings Cmdrs. I can't remember...To unlock prismatic shields through Aisling Duval do I need to achieve 750 merits on week 3 or is it week 4 ? I can't find an easy answer in a thread on it so I started this one. I unlocked prismatic shields before but I've forgotten. Cos your merits decrease every week. It kinda confused me. I always mix up which way voltage and current run too :)

Also make sure to remember the merit decay that happens when a new PP week starts. (Do merits still decay? It's been around two years since i last did any PP.)

I usually pledge on a Tuesday. When my time pledged says 3weeks I get the 750 merits. Then I hit 4 weeks on that Tuesday and the 750 merits count for lvl 3 on that Thursday PP tick.

Edit: I get the 750 merits after the 3rd week Thursday.

Thanks Cmdrs. This helped...I didn't even know it was in the game. So on week 4 (after pledging for 3 weeks) I get 750 merits and after the tick I will be able to buy prismatic shields.
Yay :)

Yes that is correct, I just did this too. After 4 weeks I got the 750 merits in about an hour or two by undermining a control system not far form me. I turned in my merits about an hour before the servers shut down for the tick, when it came back up I had them.

Be aware that you can only buy them while pledged and at rank.
So unless you want to maintain your status or re-pledge later, buy as many as you'll need right away.

Whoops, wish I had known that, I only bought one for the Vette and one for the Viper MKIV. I'm still pledged, but my rank has dropped way down, looks like it's time to undermine again.

I am in week 4 of my pledge and my rating had decreased to 3 while the merits went down to 650. Tried to get more merits by transporting propaganda or expansion cargo, but cannot load anything in my cargo rack anymore in Medupe City. Is 650 merits too few to unlock prismatic shields in a few days? If so, what can I do?

I used to think it was some big investment tip access these pp weapons.


Then I got into itthe other day and let me tell y'all it's really this simple.


Easy, but also very little fun involved if that's the only goal. I wish there were more requirements for each week to actually encourage me to participate.

Afaik the power play contact screen is bugged and you might try a different input method to actually load up.

In my case I can't use the mouse or keyboard on that screen but my flight stick works fine to navigate the menu.

Maybe that's your issue?

To qualify, you must be at rank 3 when you reach 4 weeks. This will typically mean reaching 750 merits by the previous Thursday morning (during week 3). Your current rank is based on the previous week's merits, so getting them halved to 375 won't matter until next week.

There does seem to be an issue with some screen buttons, try selecting the button with the mouse and then pressing the spacebar.

Prismatics are for scrubs, biweaves are for REAL CMDRs. Dont @ me
