Pristine rings for mining: how to find?

Basically, subj. Do i have options other than randomly flying around or going 500 ly away from civilized space? I tried checking extraction economy systems, well, some of them don't even have a single ring/asteroid belt around! I wonder what they're extracting.

Go to your galaxy map and just select systems that have an extraction or refinery economy, then look at that system and if it has an asteroid belt, click it and see.....
Don't bother mining planetary rings, stick to the belt clusters
Alternatively, fly to Delkar.....great mining there

That's exactly what i tried, and i didn't see a single thing above "common reserves" in 10 minutes of checking systems around.

As for delkar, thanks for direction, maybe i'll have to use it eventually.

Polahukuna had Pristine metallic rings, at least it did in Gamma. Don't tell anyone though.

They are hard to find, but some need to be visited as there will be no cartographic data available. If a system has data available, buy it, it's normally cheap.
Delkar is probably one of the best pristine metallic belts around.....I can send you more systems when I get home from work if you want

LOL WHUT? Belt clusters are horrible. Like 5 rocks there and thats it. They are horrible. Of course mine from Planetary rings. Why on earth would you mine from belt clusters?

Hmmmm, I'm doing the exact opposite. I do not bother with the clusters with their 6 or 7 stones in there, I go for the planetary rings, well away from the extraction points (be careful when you fly into the belt) and start mining away.
On the galaxy map it states what the different planetary rings have.

It would be pretty nice.

Why? Because you can get 60% platinum in there, I've never found that in planetary rings
You have obviously never mined the belts at Delkar...there are tons of asteroids in those clusters

Allright I gotta check this out. Found a system with metallic pristine belt cluster. Lets see if you are telling the truth :) Will give you info about my findings in the evening (CET time).

Actually I had that in a pristine metallic ring in LATURAGA. the thing is... sooo many rocks, so to hit that constantly, you'd need quite a lot of luck... but regularly hitting 30 - 40% Pt / Pd / Au / Ag is a given

Ok, one question about this "prestine" thingy. This is shown on the map under the planet, but counts for the rings? or can someone please show a screenshot of this please.

I copied this to a notepad doc quite some time ago, i think i got it from these forums, or maybe reddit, not sure, and some may be outdated now, but i will quote it again if it helps.
