Private group options: invulnerable to player character's fire.

I do not like the idea of having multiple modes and private groups and always play in open, so I couldn't care less, but seeing as people complain about griefers infiltration in fleetcom and mobius, it seems such a logical and easy solution. The group creator accesses to the group options and ticks "player character's fire invulnerability" on.

I mean, FD did it with ax weapons... :D

The developer's opinion is the only one worth considering on how easy it would be to implement.

I think that sums up the rest of it.

I see the forum is constructive as always.

I was not talking about implementation, I meant easy idea to come by in order to prevent infiltrations and enforcing group rules.

I see no problem with this kind of suggestion, why not allow the creator of the private group on or more options to set some rules in their private group, one such option could very well be a co-op only mode.

This should not affect Open, it will not affect Solo, and give the owner of a private group a little more control. This would not really make any big changes to the normal players, the only players that this will hurt are those that by deception joins PvE only private groups and then goes on a murder spree. And these player should not be in those group to begin with, but give the group owners the ability to set Co-Op only would make it useless for those who would like to infiltrate and kill other players just for the fun of it.

Things that should definitely NOT be allowed, is to change how NPC behave or react.

Yeah PG's that want this should be able to set this as a flag for their PG. It just makes one form of trolling impossible (infiltrating a PG to kill unsuspecting CMDR's). It has no negative impacts on anyone.

An Open PVE mode would also be great.

I also have to say no. Friendly fire is part of the fun in private groups.

Now One point I made on fleetcom It best to offset your course. Now on Mobuis they tend to keep the servers clean by banning people.

You know. Private groups should police their own servers. Set it up however they want. That could be PVP only or PVE only.

I'm in favour of this suggestion. Why should trolls be able to infiltrate a private group and deliberately breach the rules they agreed to on joining in order to disrupt the play of others?

I believe that the real solution is an Open-PvE mode in addition to the existing modes though. This would reunite the player base which has been fragmented by the use of PvE private groups and make the admin and support of those huge groups unnecessary.

I agree. This is not an unusual solution in MMORPG games, and I think that is suitable to ED.
