Probably a new bug!

Today as i recalled my ship from orbit i got a message that it's shield went off line and the hull was damage 2% why this has happened ? is it intended ? i am at least 30000 LY civilization !

Just a thought, as there was a thread about lack of fuel causing such issues.

It is an auto-pilot thing and the goddess programmed most of that. It is said that if you forget to take out your mat, knee and face Sol and pay homage to her; bad things will happen.

Ships don't burn fuel when under ai control. Psefergr, did you visually track the ship when it dropped out and came into land? It didn't hit anything as it came out of orbital cruise?

Have never seen anything like that happen, must have done thousands of recalls since horizons rolled out. Thankfully you didn't lose the ship!

Yes i tracked it.No it didn't hit anything because there is nobody around where i am.As it was landing i got a audio message saying my shields (on the unmanned ship) gone offline and although it landed extremely softly as i monitored it from the moment it appeared until touchdown the shields were offline and hull was already reduced by 2 percent

If you have undersized thrusters or left the ship without 4 pips to ENG then the AI can often have a difficult time landing on planets, especially higher G ones

So far, I've had only two occasions where the landing (recalled) Ship screwed up badly.
(note that the AI of the Ship lands with 4/2/0 Pips for all I know)

1) docked at Farseer Base, deployed SRV from small ship to see where it would end up on one of the extended Platforms far above the ground of the Canyon
- ending up magically at the bottom of Canyon, I recalled the Ship - which decided to crash above the Canyon surface (common NPC issue) instead. Shields gone, 60% Hull left

2) "aborted" landing of already recalled Ship due to erroneous "Landing gear blocked" Message (I was well clear and >150m away)
- 2nd recall made the Ship appear within less than 10sec, but it decided to hit the ground at fairly high speed... Luckily Shields took most of the impact at the low G Planet.

Very rare occasions though, I don't get to see these issues often.

My friend i have undersized engineered thrusters that have more than enough power to boost. But the ship was already damage before it landed, while it was on the air at least 600m from surface and planet's gravity is 0.06gs so this is not the case
