Problem scanning guardian data terminal

Sorry for having to ask this.. but. I get the data terminal to pop no problem. I target it with the turret, and it say PUBLIC. Scanning with the data scanner does nothing, holding down the scan trigger The composition scanner read it the first time, but the post in the info screen disappeared to quickly to read. I logged, and repopped the terminal. Still nothing with the data scanner. Compositiin scanner no says ‘no new traits found’. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any help is much appreciated.

I got it. I found it buried in the forums. If anyone has trouble, the issue was key binding. Left trigger has to be secondary fire for the turret and mapped to the data scanner. even with data scanner on left trigger, I couldn’t scan it from the cockpit. I had to target and scan from the turret. Targeting in the turret and scanning in the cockpit did nothing.
