Problem with Ancient Data Terminal

Hi all,

I've been looking everywhere for an answer to this but had no luck. I've been trying to activate a terminal at a guardian site. I have activated all the pylons but can't activate the terminal. I have tried dropping both an ancient relic and an ancient key but it won't accept either. This is the second site to do this to me and I don't understand what I am doing wrong.

Possibly you have 'a key' and are at 'a vessel blueprint site', but 3 types of fighters each have their specific sites and you are not at the right one for the key type you have?

You're not doing anything wrong. It's quite forgiving about where you drop the relic/key.
Either the site is bugged or you've found a new type of site that takes a different item. I suspect it's the former so bug report here.
I kinda hope they say "working as intended" and you've discovered something new using a different item.

Well I also found an Ancient Orb at the site and tried that, seeing as it was the first time I'd found one. But it seems it's just another salvage item.

Thanks for the video - looks like Turtle layout so should be a relic It's a squid, so it needs a Key. Not incredibly clear from the video but it looks to me like you're not sat on the middle of the hole when ejecting (I usually look for the blue light appearing in the cockpit). But since you've done others you know how to align.

Might pop over today and see if it is bugged for me as well :)

Bugreport that I'd say. Guardian Structure = Ancient Key. Looks like you've done everything right.

Went out there today (not visited a Squid before, pretty neat). No problems activating with the Ancient Key. Just stop the SRV over the hole as usual:

There can be issues if you are in a group (I think?). Otherwise I'm stumped ...

Interesting. I'll grab another key and go back there to try again. I've never done it by parking on the pad, I've always parked near it so the key/relic drops onto, or at least near, the hole.

Try it :) I always drop while parked on - I did the same as you at the thargoid bases and it was always hit &miss until someone told me to just drop nearby. Parking over the hole seems to magically work (at least for me).

Often it helps just to know something is possible :) gl!
