Problem With Breeding Animals In One Zoo And Transporting Them To Another

The issue I'm having is that I built two habitats in one zoo within my franchise and purchased 6 animals on the market and place 3 each of those animals into each habitat. Each trio of animals had 3 offspring which I placed in storage. I then opened a new zoo and built two more habitats. When I attempt to place a pair of any combination of the six original offspring the compare mates now states that all six animals cannot mate because they will inbreed. This simply isn't true. Three of those offspring should be able to mate with the other three.

The questions are has anyone else had this problem? Is this a bug (known or otherwise)?

Have you checked their mating status in the original zoo ? Maybe some of the 6 animals were partially related making any offspring they have partially related too.

Depending on how technically they code the DNA part of the game...

siblings mating with siblings will produce double cousins which have the equivalent DNA as half siblings
cousins mating with cousins will produce double 2nd cousins which have the equivalent DNA ( I think ) as half cousins

Although chances are that they are not that indepth .. but even if it is as simple has copying certain data from one animal to the next .. for each parent.. then validating the mating possibilities would likely compare whether the same data is in each section .. in theory .. which result in the same thing as above which is true for human dna.

Yup, it's always a possiblity the parents came from the same seller, especially if it's a rare animal with fewer listings/breeders (or if you bought them all around the same time).

I haven't noticed that particular bug myself (then again I'm not dead set against inbreeding).
