Problem with frame shift drive interdictor

Hi guys,
I bought Imperial Clipper with allmoust all the options ( 201 mil cr) and i have one very annoying problem. Every time when use frame shift drive interdictor i have problems with ship integrity... After each time when i use FSDI i pay reparation 200...300k cr . I try with trottle idle or max but no change

Tks

The faster you are going when you leave the interdiction the more damage you take.

During the interdiction you will change from your current speed to that of the target. Try to target people who are going <.5c, the slower the better. If the target is going >10c... well that's going to be expensive.

Same happens to me in my ASP, usually dropping my hull down to ~90%.. so yeah I got rid of that thing, almost no bounty is worth that repair bill.

This is normal.

It's the same when you emergency drop out of SC.

If the target submits, then there is no damage.
If you (and your target) travel slower than 1,000ms then there should be no damage
Anything faster will give you and your target hull damage

Bigger ships should have a higher class FSD-Interdictor fitted,
to avert most of the damage.
It seems to be tied to the mass of your ship and the interdictor module class,
how much integrity you loose upon interdicting.

Try a class 4 maybe?
I guess you run a cheap module, thus have this experience.

Have you actually confirmed this is the case, or is it more "this is how I think it works".

When i had compared a class 1 interdictor to a class 2 interdictor (both rating d) on my cobra,
my ship took less damage with the class 2 than before.
It is more a "gut feeling" than a tested statement.

I think it has a maximum shipmass it can handle well (like shields),
but it needs testing and confirmation.

Were you going at exactly the same speed when you dropped out of SC? I think this is the main factor, which is why I'm not convinced. As you say, needs testing.

The damage for interdictions should be increased. Way to easy to interdict.

That's ok. Because when i fly my cobra it only cost me 200cr. I can murder 50 people, switch to solo and go repair and than switch back to open

zero risk. all the killing.
