Problem with scanning "Training Beacon 4"

Hey, guys!
I just startet playing the game on PS4, and was going through the training missions. When I got to the one where you’re supposed to scan "Training Beacon 4", it won’t scan. I followed the steps of the task as directed, and when prompted I pressed the trigger and held it, but nothing happened.

Have any of you had this problem? What was your solution?

I can't 100% remember the tutorial but, is the cockpit mode in the correct mode. It should be blue UI in colour if the right mode is selected. It would probably have prompted you to change cockpit mode I would expect.

Hey!

The UI is orange, but the writing that prompts the tasks is blue. All it told me was to target the beacon, deploy hardpoints, get closer and then press the trigger to scan. When I press the trigger there is a short sound, but then nothing happens. So I let go and pressed again, but then the "instructor" just tells me I have to hold the trigger down. I did that, but still nothing.

I figured out what the problem was. Turn out, my controller is getting worn out. The R2 trigger will only react to pushing, and not holding. So the game thinks I’m only pressing and releasing. Buying a new controller tomorrow. That should help!
