I don't know if any of these issues have been mentioned yet, but I've just been playing around with building water slides. And I've encountered a slew of problems.
I wanted to add custom supports to a flume. The flume on the right has supports turned on. I'm adding custom supports to the flume on the left. Luckily, I'm supplied with the pieces to match the built-in supports on the right flume.
Unluckily, the flume footers supplied don't match the built-in footers. I'm assuming this giant round footer is for the bigger flume rides, not the water slides. So the game is missing the water slide flume footer that I need.
I'm having even more problems with the platforms. There is no way to add an entrance that is flush with the platform if you want the platform on the ground. It adds the mandatory stairway and sinks it in the ground. In another build, I created a large building and put the platform on the second level, and I wanted guests to climb to the second level first and to board the ride. Of course, I couldn't do that either. If the guests entered at the second level, they would have to walk back down to the bottom of the mandatory stairway. I know these are probably special cases and most players may not ever need to do this. But the next problems are more universal to all players.
Here, I've done what the game wants me to. But once the stairs have been added, the back railing disappears.
Speaking of railings, it is impossible to change the default railing at the base of the stairs to match the queue railing.
The last two issues are easy to fix, I'm sure. The first problem may be just me wanting to do what was not intended, so I don't expect making any changes to that mechanic to be a priority for Frontier. But it would be nice...
