Problems with Imperial Space

Ok, first off- I'm not a Newbie- been here since Beta.

However, I've spent almost all my time in Fed and Alliance Space. So I decided I was missing out and wanted to get in on the Slave Trade.

Headed to Imperial Space and it's been very profitable so far. Lots of slaves need homes I guess, and often times I'll make a Million credits in a few minutes within the same system!

BUT........ without a WANTED status, I'm constantly interdicted by FEDERAL SECURITY forces....in IMPERIAL SPACE. What is up with that?!

Not wanted- but carrying "Illicit cargo" shouldn't get me interdicted all the time- after all, they don't know me, don't know what I'm carrying, *AND* did I mention they are FEDERAL SECURITY forces?

-Start with the Not Wanted...I NEVER had this issue in Fed Space. If I was pulled over, it was because of my big RED Wanted sign around my neck. Sure, every so often I'd get yanked out of super cruise for a courtesy inspection...but never just fired on...with out even a SCAN!

Did I mention the FEDERAL SECURITY forces interdicting me in IMPERIAL Space don't even SCAN ME? Nope, not once. They just open up and fire.

Also, I'm an ADMIRAL in the Federal Navy Auxiliary. This buys me NOTHING?! I mean, come on, the Drop ship wasn't all that impressive a prize for making it all the way to Admiral. I didn't even get a coffee mug or anything.

So there is my whine of the day- The Emperor has no Security Ships? Is this normal? They hire federal Security as their cops?

I don't usually see Feds in Imperial space. On some border systems, you might see them in a system where the Empire controls it but there is a Fed faction in there trying to gain influence.

The only other time I saw feds in Imperial space was when I was doing powerplay (for like 5 min). I was interdicted by Federal Agents at Denton's front door.

Sounds like you've encountered the "psycho-cop" bug. I've had the same issue. On the upside you don't have a fine and your reputation is (from first glance) untarnished. You just have to keep evading them until you reach a station and (if it's an outpost) proceed to the hanger (otherwise they'll just keep firing, outpost or no.)

Hopefully Frontier will resolve this.

sounds like a contested system. Look at the system map, if there are stations aligned with the Federation, theres your answer.
