Problems with landing

Hi folks, I was hoping you could help me find out what I'm doing wrong.

I've come back to the game after a very long break and found out about the Formidine rift and engineers and Horizons and stuff. 'Exciting times', I thought.

I re-equipped my Trade-conda for exploration and realised that I should get the FSD drive engineered so I headed for Cupiat 1B to get some arsenic. I land, seemingly with no problems. Drive out of the hangar in the SRV and spend a couple of minutes setting keys and getting used to the handling, at which point. "Ship shields, offline." I look back at the landed Anaconda but can't see anything shooting at it and assume that this is normal behaviour for an empty ship. I keep driving about within a couple of Kms of it until I notice that it's on 95% Hull. I race back, circuit the ship and can't see any contacts but, worried now, I try to board. The orange frame around the hangar has gone and the only relevant option is greyed out on the SRV screen.

I drive around for another minute then decide that I might have to dismiss and recall the ship to get back aboard. I hit the 'Dismiss' option and the ship doesn't move. It says it's preparing to but the only sign of anything happening is that the hull ticks down to 94%.

Then it blows up.

Fine, what's 9m creds between friends. Live and learn, and all that.

So, back I come, land, start driving about. Check it's still got the orange frame around the hangar. So far, so good. I drive a little further and a bit further and, the ship takes off. 'No problem', I think, 'I got too far away and it's automatically dismissed itself'. I drive and mine for about an hour then try to recall the ship. 'Activate Turret', 'Details', 'Back'. No other options. No sign of anything to do with the ship.

I drive about for another 30 minutes, trying to find somewhere flatter (it was already pretty flat) desperately hoping the menu would appear.

No dice.

In my ignorance, what am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your help.

That sounds very weird??

I would log a ticket, as it sounds like an invisible NPC was attacking your Conda as it had scanned you and maybe you had cargo in your hold?

Again, your second session sounds like ship blew up whilst it was away - which it should never do. So defo log a ticket with support!

Does your Anaconda have decent thrusters fitted?

It could be that the autopilot take off can't cope and is crashing back down, and just bouncing on the ground.
This can happen in high G world's, or even low G if your thrusters are just scraping by.

If you're running bare minimum, you might need a mild upgrade.

Otherwise, log a ticket. In fact do it anyway.
