Procedurally-Generated Stations/Settlements and colonial expansion???

New assets created by the efforts of players exploring, mining, bounty-hunting, and otherwise interacting off of carriers within a system would be nice. We already see pirates and miners out in anarchy space mining in hotspots just as they would be in resource extraction sites, so who is to say a squadron can't have their carrier in-system for an extended period and get a nav beacon and a mining platform there at some point?

The thing with procedural generation is, it doesn't suddenly create new stuff, it really doesn't. It creates nice forests, but it can't add a tree after the forest is created. Procedural generation is simply a no starter for colony expansion, it just doesn't work that way.
