General / Off-Topic Processor help?

Hi,

so basically I have no idea about AMD but i just wanted to ask which one of the following two processors is newer/ better and will run PC games more smoothly?


AMD Athlon 860K Quad 4-Core CPU Processor (Athlon 64 FX)

OR

AMD FX-8350

I'd say the AMD FX 8350 is better. With this CPU, you could easily play Planet Coaster on 1920x1080 High settings, since this game is CPU intensive.

My desktop custom PC has Intel's "flagship" 6th gen Intel Core i7-6700k quad core 4-4.2Ghz processor with Intel's hyper threading technology.

FX for sure as that is their "high end" offering.
Since this is a very cpu intensive game it really should make a big difference.
If you are going for AMD then I recommend getting something like the fx8350 to get most out of games like this.

i'm using a i5 2500k oc @ 4.5 ghz, so far works good enough.. soon testing with a new gpu :) For those options, go for the fx :)
