Prof Palin repeat mission?

I've only been playing a couple weeks and ended up going to the Maia system looking for meta alloys and was given a mission from Prof Palin to look for 1 Thargoid technology sample but could only find Thargoid sensors before the mission expired. Does anyone know if I will get anymore missions from him as I've docked into obsidian a couple times now and nothing? Thanks.

If you are looking for Meta alloys, head to the surface port near the orbital. Haven't done one of those Palin missions in quite a while, normal routine would be to dock, check my inbox for the mission, head to the Thargoid Scout crash site, rinse and repeat a few times.

Just to clarify, you only get more of those missions after completing (or abandoning) the first one and then docking at Obsidian Orbital again.

Thanks for the help, Yeah I managed to get the Meta alloy I needed but for the Thargoid technology I went to Hip 17403 crash site and the only thing there was Thargoid sensors. I even tried logging in and out of solo and open and that's all there was even though on the YouTube video I followed had an unknown artifact. Aslong as I can still receive missions from Prof Palin as I was looking forward to doing them. I'm going to take the Meta alloy back to one of the engineer's and hopefully when I get back there'll be more for me to do when I re-dock in Obsidian.
