Profit from being Elite?

All right, serious question since I'm new to the situation. Yesterday I happen to receive a promotion to Elite in exploration. Nice and cool since last rank promotion I got about 10 months ago. Anyway, now as I am Elite - I'm wondering what will change. Sure, got Founder's World permit so I can go there but it's not exploration exclusive - any Elite rank grants that. I know that cargo missions benefit from high trading rank. Does exploration Elite influence anything, like I can expect higher exploration pay grades? Or is it just honorary title like King/Admiral, just an appreciation of your achievement? Not that I seek to reap the benefits from that, just curious. ED isn't best in terms of providing info and explanations.

Access to jameson memorial where evry item in game is available to buy in one place. No more will you travel the systems searching for a 6D fuel scoop :)

So rather honorary title for me. Jameson Memorial is general unlock for any kind of Elite, passenger missions are of no interest to me. Tried that once or twice, didn't like much. Maybe some day I'll build some space bus, just for lulz.

Well, at least I can brag about being Elite King Admiral. And fly with my nose high, above the common rabble. For the five minutes before I get back to normal me.

And the -10% discount. That said, for those REALLY big / expensive ships, you might want to get your stuff from a Li Yong-Rui controlled system, for that extra 5% discount (15% discount total).

All my recent ship purchases are from Diaguandri or systems close to it, exactly due to 15% off. My current Clipper I'm right now exploring in comes from there. Future ship purchases will be made with max discount I can get, even if it means 500 LYs trip (LYR controlled space is roughly 200 LYs from my home base). It's just 6 jumps away for my midnight black Adder personal shuttle. Coming back may be bit tricky with stock build. Overall Jameson isn't much an offer since I already have high grade modules, D-rated at least.

No big deal there's no fat reward for being elite. I guess it's more "feeling good inside" case than some material reward. For as i see it reaching elite status should be done for the elite status itself, not some reward tied to it.

Amirite?

Oh, I know a reward for reaching exploration elite - I'll buy a ship! Now ... which one?

I'm not rich enough for that. Tho with new exploration payouts I may get past "not totally broke".
And I am sitting in one station, just go outside for shopping. It's good to *cough* stretch the legs *cough* once for a while.

You get a decal.

You get a SHINY decal!!

But access to Founders World is the biggie. Any ship, any upgrade at Jameson Memorial, including any Guardian Modules you unlocked.

MY entire fleet now has Guardian FSD, for examples...

I was pretty "meh" om the founder's world thing, but it really is convenient, especially to experiment with ship builds.

I think i read somewhere that when you have elite in combat, some missions become available from from The Dark Wheel in Shinrata Dezrha, which could or could not lead to clues about Raxxla.

Rites of passage:

  • Going to Hutton Orbital
  • Visiting Sagittarius A
  • Finding a Guardian Ruin
  • Finding a Thargoid Map room
  • Landing on a 10g planet - and take off again
  • Sending out a Rat Signal
  • Delete Save
