Profitable Trade Routes

Found a trade route that seems consistently profitable.

My ship is a Type-6 Transporter with 96 unit load capacity.
The route is between 2 neighboring systems, 14.22 light years apart, which I accomplish as a single jump (fastest).

Figures for one complete round trip:
Profit leg one: 105,888 cr
Profit return: 106,560 cr
Less Fuel: (159) cr
Net Profit: 212,289 cr

Time to complete (approx): 11 minutes, 33 seconds

Profit/ sec.: 306.33 cr
Profit/hr.: 1,102,800 (rounded)

I don't think that's too bad for only 96 in cargo space.
Profit/hr per unit of cargo space: 11,487.5

Yup, found a similiar route making a tad bit more. Today's my first time trading, nice change of pace from dog fights and making more per hour to boot.

If you've got good jump range and participated in the community event at Diso, you can run Diso corn to Irukama and giant snails to Diso - clear about 750k per trip, and it takes ~10 min per trip - 5 or 6 mil/hr if you're a boring grind. Need only 50t cargo space.

That looks like a decent route to me. Most 2 stop trade routes net 2k profit per ton, any more than that is good in my eyes :)

I'm curious as to what's possible. Feel free to share.

Most people won't share good ones as they will no longer be good if too many people run them. The one I've been running all week in my T9 is slightly better than the one you describe and even that trails off after I've done ten or fifteen round trips. Once it falls to around 1000 Cr per T each way I have to take a break for some hours for it to recover.

Can you give any direction for those wanting to find one ? As in tips and pointers ?

Filter out all the trashy systems in the galaxy map, leaving only Agricultual, Extraction, Tech, Industrial. Use the sliders to show only the large & huge populated systems. These are the places you want to be trading with :)

That's for if you want to feel all fuzzy inside and congratulate yourself on doing it the hard way. On the other hand, if you want the efficient way, use one of the third party trading tools:

Personally, I use Thrupps and Slopey's. If their results agree, you should be good to go.

Fair play. I personally enjoyed the challenge of finding my own routes and gathering my own data :)

There's also more chance of finding a route that noone has uploaded that gets run out in a day because someone shared it to one of the third party sites :)

I figured people wouldn't share the specific details for the reasons you suggested. (I didn't either, for those reasons.) But, if your personal favorite route isn't up to par, you know to keep looking for a better one. I also noticed the fall-off as well. I'd say today's stats are slightly better then average.

Just for indications, what is a really good profit for a one jump trade route? (conda, approx 20ly jump).
I manage to find some around 2k (1k2 one way, 800 other way for instance). I tried a few of the methods to find better ones, but can't seem to get lucky. Do you guys often find some over 2400 ?

You could do that at a RES easy right now, I'm earning better than that RES farming. One conda is usually 120k, and if I target it's plant I can have it dead in 2-3 minutes.

Sounds good OP. I personally dont fret about squeezing every last credit out of a trading run as long as i am making a reasonable profit. Currently doing Diso>leesti>persephone so benefitting from a recent CG while contributing to another. Im worth about 250m so must be doing summat right...

What exactly does 'RES' stand for?

Oh wait, Resource Extraction Site, nvm...
