This is an Idea I've been kicking around; a player supported and backed operation to deny Anarchy outposts for the lawless to retreat to in system; where they can reload, re arm, and sell their stolen goods.
Say there is a system somewhere that has busy trade, but also an Anarchy Outpost. Not station, just a humble pirate outpost (marked as "unsanctioned). Well, lets see about showing up and.. DESTROYING THAT OUTPOST!
I'm thinking torpedoes, or massed dumbfire missiles from afar (no shields on them things). Jumping in ~ 100km away, lurking up to the outpost cold, going silent within 4km from a side not visible to their little turret, unload missiles/dump heatsink/unlead missiles until everybody wakes up, pull away and warp out. Rearm. Repeat.
I'm going to go find some hapless test target first to see if:
a) the weapons do appreciable damage in the first place
b) the damage remains consistent upon return
c) there are any blindspots to take advantage of
d) if defense ships will warp in/launch
My Asp with 6 dumfire missile pods and dual heatsinks is eager and ready.
Whos with me?
