Project : Obsidian sector

On Wednesday? (correct me if i'm wrong) a sad thing happened to one of our most beloved explorers :

CMDR Obsidianant's ship suffered a catastrophic control malfunction, resulting in a power-plant meltdown and the destruction of 4 months of exploration data.

To commemorate the tragic loss, i am starting this little project...

Project : Obsidian Sector

Starting from the first earth like i found today, (okay, the second actually) i will map, and scan all objects 50-150LY from it. (Range will be determined by my patience)

Every single ice world, every single gas giant, every single brown dwarf,

will be scanned and mapped in honor of our great friend!

The end goal is to have an entire area of space discovered by me for CMDR Obsidianant.

(The most SOL-like system I've discovered i believe)

The project may span over a week, or few weeks, or maybe even a month (Let's hope not)
The thread will be updated with my progress over the following (see above), and i will keep a list over all systems, and their astronomical bodies.

I hope that my project will motivate him, to never stop exploring, despite the horrible setback.

Fly safe and blaze your trails explorers!

Thank you so much for this Kola2! It means a lot! :)

Fortunately for me, Frontier placed my ship back at the same location I exploded it, as the issue occurred due to a bug. However, all the discovery data is permanently gone, and I will never get that back. But, I still fully intend on continuing exploring. It's easily the best part of the game!

Hope to see you out there one day! And thanks again!! :)

First update! :

So far :

10 systems mapped, sector expands 16LY from it's starting system

So that was the first 10 systems, and there's more to come!
Now : What i found out was that scanning the sector itself, wasn't that hard.

But keeping track of them all and getting pictures, ugh it's a stress!
I managed to mix up a few of the 6 first systems (They should really be in order of distance from Obsidian sector 1) but from now it will go smooth (hopefully)

I might end up not taking pictures of every system as that is not ideal if i want to finish in some sort of near-future.

Anyways : Fly safe and blaze your trails!
