Newcomer / Intro Projectile Speed For Cannons?

Any clue whether the projectile speed differ from different classes of cannons? Like, would the projectile for class-4 cannon travel slower than the class-1 counterpart?

hmmm..im gonna go with, YES!
My buddy parked next to me in his viper and I shot one cannon round from a class 1 and he boosted past it in a race...but a class 4 he boosted but the bullet won, so in shame he faced me in his trickd viper and I fired a barrage of cannon fire into his cockpit until he was dead...thus concluded the experiment.
...so actually, I'm unsure.

Back in Beta there were various types of MC available, and some did vary by projectile speed, but those were taken out prior to v1.0. I don't have any info on whether the previous variations will be making an appearance again in the future, but that's probably due to not having looked for any.

Short answer: Not at this time, but if the past is any indication we may see it in the future.
