projector

I splashed out on an Epson EH-TW6600
Running it at 1920x1080, 70000:1 contrast and 3D capable - looks awesome.

The biggest bonus though is playing ED from my couch.

WATCH OUT for those 1080 P ones.. sometimes they ACCEPT 1080P.. but OUTPUT is still something crappy like 800x600 or 720P.
I have one downstairs. it is AWESOME having a 192" screen.
(8x12 feet)
response time is a little on the laggy though.
that is why monitors have Response Time listed. TV's are horrid on response time, and you can see the lag a little. but it isn't much, unless you play First Person Shooters.. a TV is fine.
but if you DO play FPS's, you will REAALLY notice the response time lag.
.
if VR is out of reach, and you got a deal on a projector, GO for it.
turn out the lights, grab your light up keyboard for $20, and have at it.
.
so when I got the projector, we put up three sheets of drywall, and KILLz painted it.. it is a super bright white, and works out fantastic.. no need for fancy super expensive paint.. maybe if you needs the reflection quality for a partially lit room.. but until then .. KILLz

Cheers for the DIY screen. I built mine myself for 20 bucks using the black out fabric for curtains haha

Awsome info guys and the effect on the video is exactly what I want (to look like you are sitting in the cockpit) l. I will have to do some saving now as I don't want to buy a £200 projector and be unhappy with it.
