Modes Proof that ED is a PvE game first!

I just noticed that PvP is now a new sub-forum of "Features Of Elite", right there with CQC, Powerplay, etc. PvE is not in this sub-forum, so doesn't this impy that ED is PvE first, and that PvP is just an optional feature?

FWIW, I really don't have a dog in this race, but when I noticed this change to the forum, I thought it would stir up some interesting discussion.

PvP is indeed an optional feature. Just like almost every other activity.

There isn't a PvE subforum because PvE isn't a specific activity the way PvP is. PvE is just a catch-all term for the vast majority of the game's content.

I think it's interesting that they've made Dangerous Discussion less prominent. I'm not exactly sure why, but I feel like this barrier? splitting of the discussions? might cut down on the toxicity and misinformation by keeping things on topic. I approve.

Yes it is. I think it's because Dangerous Discussion became the "default" forum for discussions and FD wanted to drive more traffic to the "lesser used" areas. It should help prevent threads getting lost in the shear volume of posts.

Yehaaa pvp now has its own section, easier to ignore now with the ignore forum option.

As for the game, its a game with pve and pvp but even the most hardent of pvpers have to lower themselves to unclean realm of the pve,er once in a while cant see how any one could play pure pvp and still have credits for a rebuys.

Just to add I love pvp, just not in ED, I get my fix in games made for it not with it tacked on the side.

Seriously, do some homework before spouting off. This game could have easily been called "Elite 4." Don't read too much into titles. Case in point: Resident Evil.

This game's title has a lore meaning to it, but that is probably inconvenient for you.
