Proper external view camera controls

Currently the external view camera is AWFUL.

Using thrust, pitch and yaw for CAMERA controls is just WRONG.

It ends up like flying a tomato in maple syrup.

My expectations are

1) Proper camera controls such as PAN, TILT, ZOOM as expected on a CAMERA!
2) Ability to lock onto a target and track it (be it the ship or a planetary body or the SRV or station etc).
3) Different rate of control movement, from fine movement to fast rapid movement.

Instead of having the 68 buttons we currently do for camera control, why not just go into outside view and scroll around the ship using the mouse and having the mouse wheel as the zoom in/out control? So much simpler than the current system

Why not a full on cinematic camera mode?

Add several points of view to each ship. Some static relative to the local star about 500 meters distant, a few static relative to the ship in various positions, and a few static to both the ship and the orientation of the ship.

Then have the camera view randomly shift between them every 4-8 seconds. Frontier, you would get your beautiful game all over youtube in weeks.

And you'd sell a lot more paint jobs.
