Proper titles and their use?

Hiya!

Small gripe, but I was wondering if you were gonna put proper titles in the imperial ranks for female players? It's just a little weird being a Duke, but actually being a Duchess haha.

Also, I was wondering if the ranks were going to have more use as the game progresses? Will it offer privileges or maybe land ownership in the future? Thx

I think part of the reason for that is the lore. The title 'Emperor' is both for males and females, and that's deliberate. Current female Emperor is the Emperor of the Empire, not Emperess.
Wiki:
Early in the reign of Hengist Duval, the 15th Emperor changed the laws of succession so that daughters of the Imperial line would also be able to ascend to the throne. The Senate later determined that the title "Emperor" should be used for both male and female rulers.
I guess this applies to navy titles aswell?
When it comes to more use for ranks, i totally agree. There's still no use in grinding out the titles King and Admiral both in Empire and Federation.

Yes, I agree, top ranks in particular should be rewarding. Now it's just a useless grind.
It'd be pretty cool if in the future they added the ability for an admiral to control a small fleet of corvettes and maybe destroyers/cruisers and Kings to own kingdoms where they can build up their systems and bestow fiefs onto AI to help run them, building navies, participating in imperial wars, etc

frankly it's odd that you can even just get the rank of Duke or whatever, but I guess it's rank inflation..

"Baron", "Marquee", or "Tribune" should be the highest you can get in game, even better if they specify you as "Auxiliary", "Honorary", or "Privateer" because you're not explicitly taking orders from whatever command structure the Empire's navy has.
