Why not just have our ships go off and do everything on their own while we log off while were at it? That way we wouldnt have to spend all the time playing, and would free us up for other tasks.

Voice controlled, that is way too much trouble, you have to figure out what to say, open your mouth and a long list of other things.

How about a camera control? Just move a random body part in front of the camera, or optionally let your pet do the work, to become Elite? Suggest the developers tunnel all their efforts into a giant cutscene rewarding you for the body part movement.
