It's been 8 months since the [PROPOSAL DISCUSSION] External API Requirements Thread was put in hibernation with an outlook of a few weeks before the next update on this.

Friendly nudge - how's it going? Anything on the Horizons?

Agree, lets see some api or com interface.
I could use the API for my touch panels, so may ideas sitting idle.
Just need a few functions exposed is all and off we go.
