Proposal for a new Corporation within Elite Dangerous
Player Faction: Echo Industries (Owner - Echo Wake)
Home System: Megaship (Name: The Void Echo)
This cooperation would be flotilla based, and have no one system to call home. Echo Industries would make its name known in the Galactic community as a leader in “custom built” internals for any ship focusing on the optional internals of the ship. We are developing a new exploration module referred to as the RSSR module (Remote System Scan and Retrieval Module) which has yet to leave the design phase.
As a future development goal, we’d like to produce a ship specifically designed for making mobile repairs outside the use of repair limpets and possibly an exploration ship or mining vessel. But these are long term goals that are not in development yet.

I hope this is not to hard to follow. I just think it could be time to introduce a new corporation into the game that actually builds things instead of the standard ones we have now. (i.e. Lakon, etc.) I am sure I will get some very interesting criticism on this topic. But what do you guys think?

- The Void Echo would serve as the flagship for the fleet/flotilla.
- Being a Flotilla means more ships in the area, with a higher security presence.
- Players will be allowed to dock with and use facilities aboard the Void Echo.

Echo Industries Customized Internals
- Cargo Racks:
- Limpet Racks – Echo Industries provides a specialized cargo rack specifically built for limpets. These cargo racks cannot be used for any other cargo except for limpets, and these racks will increase limpet storage capacity by 25%. The advantage here is that when you restock at a station it will restock all limpets in these racks automatically, saving you time and hassle. (i.e. Class 6E 64T Cargo Rack = 64 Limpets, but an Echo Industry Limpet Rack means 80T of limpets in the same space of a Class 6E Cargo Rack)
- Munitions Cargo Racks: - This is a concept idea of crafting specialized cargo racks for storing and transporting munitions. These racks due to their nature will be reinforced and add 25% weight over standard cargo racks. (The most common remarks I get when flying a support vessel with heal beams (bro beams), and repair limpets is… “Now only if you could replenish my ammo”.)
- Munitions can be bought by the supply vessel at a station offering restocking and the Commander will be able to choose which munitions can be placed into these holds. (i.e. Small Caliber, Large Caliber, High Velocity, etc.)
- Munitions Transfer Limpets – As we have limpets for repairing, collecting, and transferring fuel… why not bring to the table a way to replenish the ammo of friendly ships? This will help allies who are fighting those pesky wars and have to fly 20,000ls to conflict zone, while the only station in system is an outpost that does not offer restocking or repairing options.
- R.S.S.R. Module – Remote System Scan and Retrieval Module (aka. Echo Probes). Upon entering a system, you can deploy up to 2 probes that will then proceed to scan the system for you. Best part is you don’t need to wait for them to complete. Data will be transferred to your ship upon completion. However due to the complexity of space travel, probes only have an 80% success rate at providing a detailed scan of all objects in system. The time it takes for this to complete depends on if you drop 1 or 2 probes, as well as the number of objects in system and their distances. (Please follow this link to the small discussion I was having about player launched probes. Possible Game Play Association
- Defend the Megaship Void Echo from a pirate attack.
- Deliver medical supplies due to an outbreak of illness.
- Delivery of components for various repairs to the ship.
- Delivery of body armor and weapons (lethal and non-lethal) for security.
