Prospector drones

Hi all,

How do I use prospector drones. I'm firing them and they just crash into the asteroid and it says 'drone failed'. What do I need to do? Thanks.

Are you firing more than one at a time? If so, try just one and wait for it to reach its target. The asteroid info should appear on the lower left display.

Move close to an asteroid, fire a limpet and lock onto it as it heads towards the asteroid, when it hits you'll get a readout at the side showing what ore there is and how much of it is left.

Ah, thanks, I wasn't locking on to it. Seems a lot more economical for time, money and cargo space to just shoot the asteroid....!

If you fire it at an icy asteroid, I believe that you will get the failed message, they only work on rocky and metallic asteroid belts
