I’ve just attempted a mission type for the first time - protect an escape pod from incoming baddies. Whenever I’ve been at a surface installation previously, I’ve almost been tripping over open ammo cans they’re that plentiful
I’ve never had an issue resupplying thanks to the nearby bullet icons on my suit radar.
This mission - nothing. My radar displayed recharge points, friendly green turrets, and the objective. I managed to get all the way through the enemy waves, “Final Dropship Inbound” and dropped the last bad guy with an empty rifle and a handful of bullets left in my sidearm. Then the game went “haha, (middle finger) Additional Dropships Detected” and my only option was to head back to my ship to resupply - naturally the Escape Pod objective was swiftly destroyed before I was halfway there
I checked the base exterior later and there were no ammo boxes anywhere. Is this normal for these missions? Like, it’s a gamey way of making them more difficult?
