Summary
System: Duamta
Station: Orunmilla (Megaship, large pads available, 693 Ls from main star, 9.88 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Bounty Vouchers
Time limit: 2nd March 3309 @ 07:00 UTC

Description
Deliveries have been requested in Duamta to fast-track production of a module that improves ship survivability in caustic environments.
Professor Alba Tesreau, the head of Aegis, provided these details:
Aegis is setting up manufacturing and distribution centres to make the caustic sink launcher widely available. The Alliance, Empire and Federation will all contribute, but we know that the process can be accelerated with the direct support of the galactic community.

Therefore, we have an open order for shipments of advanced catalysers, heatsink interlinks and palladium. We also require caustic tissue samples obtained from the caustic generators that can be found inside the Maelstrom clouds. I urge pilots to exercise caution as these are highly dangerous to obtain, but crucial to the modules’ manufacturing process.
To protect traders carrying these resources through the Duamta system, Aegis confirmed that it will pay additional rewards on any bounties (Aegis Core and any Bounty from a Faction affiliated with the Federation. Which includes but is not limited to those from Duamta Gold Creative Corp.) handed in at the Orunmilla megaship.
The campaign will run until the 2nd of March 3309. If the final target is met earlier than planned the campaign will end immediately.
To earn rewards, you must sign up as an active participant before handing in bounty vouchers at the Orunmilla in the Duamta system. Only bounty vouchers handed in after signing up will count toward your personal contribution total.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a proportion of your bounty vouchers will be automatically assigned to them. These bounty vouchers will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for these bounty vouchers when they are handed in. The proportion of bounty vouchers assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • The Orunmilla is located near planet 5
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Blackmarket, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel
  • Nearest Interstellar Factors (with reasonable in-system cruise distances, other options are available):
    • Herrington City in Duamta (only useful for non-local bounties, S/M/L pads available, 418 Ls from main star)
    • Powell High & Lomas Orbiter in Wolf 359 (S/M/L pads available, 5.37 Ly, 98 & 52 Ls from main star)
    • Stephenson Dock in Wolf 294 (S/M/L pads availabile, 10.73 Ly, 75 Ls from main star)

Planet 7 and 8 in the systems have rings but they're outside automatic update distance, so you may need nav beacon scan or fly there to see any res sites...

Duamta Gold Creative Corp only owns Duamta, so only the High/Med/Low RES in Duamta works for them. Aegis Core doesn't own any systems.

any Bounty from a Faction affiliated with the Federation

Well that's wide. Does it work?

Picking a random nearby Fed faction - G 41-14 Purple Travel Solutions - and assuming it works - then the CNB in G 41-14 or Gendalla should give bounties that count.

There are low, med and high res sites in system at body 7 (or was it 8? one of the two), but no hazardous. There are two HazRes in YZ Ceti though (19 ly away), around 1k out at body A 10 with a large station on orbit for rearm and repair. It is a fed system with five fed factions, I took a small sample and got bounties from two, both counted towards the CG, so that works.

alright, anyone find any installations under attack? mercenary actions with bounty payouts that count towards the CG turn ins? Those are the most fun and quite effective.
I visited the in system installations - stellar food commission, double sphere incorporated, lynch universal monolith, and grand stallion plantation; none of them are active - just duds in space. Haven't visited the lichfield class reformatory, sometimes they throw a party but.. being as all the rest of the installation/mercenary sites were inert - im certain the lichfield is inert as well.

Beta Mobile Security Section in G 41-14 - testing now... Completed. Turned in 30 million in bounties earned defending the installation - it counted towards the CG goal. Do it up! Mega-Jing. ( lol, went S rank top 10 cmdrs with this test. It wont last but, lol.. effective.)

Also, this might be a stretch, but can the combat pilots get some sinks for running security for the space truckers too? Cause, ya know, 6 million on top of the hundreds of million we would inevitably turn in to rank.. well, its meaningless.

Also, after fighting almost dedicatedly against thargoids since the war began... its kinda weird... jumping from system to system.. no hyperdictions.. enemies that just evaporate after 20 seconds of fire.. totally different game.

When you arrive at an installation, after a short while you get a message (similar to the one in a CZ) about the installation being attacked. You then need to choose to either defend the installation or join the attack. In this case (it being a fed owned installation I presume) you choose to defend and then repel the attackers, who usually have bounties, hopefully fed bounties in this case.

@Williamb Please can you explain more this "installations under attack" thing ?

I have never done this and i would like to try !
This is some of the best combat gameplay in Elite IMO! I absolutely love installation defense "missions". I also feel these are a bit more in the spirit of CGs, if one imagines an installation being a place that all this trade eventually ends up in. Bounty "Fishing" in a ring where pirates attack mining ships that have nothing to do with trade never felt connected to "protect the traders" CGs, especially if you have to go to another system to find pirates that "count".

I just tried that particular scenario in G 41-14, it is a tough one. Not beause of the enemy strength, but beause the fed forces are so overwhelming that you need to be really quick to get a kill in and/or bring long range weapons to get at least a tag. The scenarios are over very quickly, and so far the scenario reset quicky and reliably.

Bring a fighter - set it to 'attack at will' - it will score you many many hits and bounties - i average 20 million ish a run at the instance i noted in previous messages.

I forgot my KWS, lol. Too expensive for power/not good effect/takes too long - FDEV nerfed the f*ck out of the KWS and now its not worth its weight in salt. lol. as usual.

I always run a KWS, and it pays off huge. An E-class engineered for fast scan is sufficient in every BH build except sniper builds. I have it on the same fire button as my shield stripping guns, so it does its scan pretty much automatically and within 2 seconds.

well the above mentioned installation, Beta Mobile Security Section in G 41-14, is owned by Ross 104 Blue Public Solutions, which is a Fed faction. All ships I encountered there were lawless.

yep another change that was never announced...
I haven't had time to watch the videos yet - which do people tend to prefer, the 3.8 installation defense or 4.0? All my experience is with 3.8 only, which I quite enjoyed. In fact, at the end it was my favorite activity in Elite.
