In light of the Lembava griefing issue, is it possible to have an armed escort wing to call upon, a bit like the fuel rats but instead of providing fuel they give an armed escort through the blockade. For this service a ton or two of gold or battle weapons is dropped in exchange at the meeting point.

Nah, that's what you call the ones that want help ie me.

I want to play in open rather than solo so that I can interact with other players but these psycho murderers are making me play in solo as I am flying an undefended ship (well it is kitted out for mining - trying to find a gold rich deposit in an uninhabited system so that we can possibly get a station built nearby to expand the area of civilisation ). I guess that when I do find what I am looking for, I can't tell anyone in game which is a pity.

Oh, excellent. Hopefully one of the moderators could sticky that thread as I didn't see it with the fuel rats. Shame on me for not doing a search first.
